Battery Voltage Low

The computer is detecting that the battery voltage is too low to operate the vehicle's electrical systems properly, usually under 11.5 volts.

The vehicle's computer monitors battery voltage continuously. When it falls below 11.5 volts, a B2329 code is triggered, indicating insufficient voltage to support electrical components.

Don't just throw parts at it. Walk through these in order — each step tells you whether to keep going or stop and fix what you found.

1. 11. Check battery terminals for corrosion or looseness. Clean and tighten if necessary. Decision: If corrosion was present and cleaned, retest. If not, go to step 2.
2. 22. Measure battery voltage with a multimeter. Expect 12.4-12.7 volts, engine off, and 13.5-14.7 volts, engine running. Decision: If voltage is below 12.4 volts, battery may be weak; replace it if necessary. If voltage is okay, go to step 3.
3. 33. Inspect the alternator output. Start the engine and measure voltage at the battery again. Decision: If voltage is below 13.5 volts, alternator may be faulty; replace it. If voltage is okay, go to step 4.
4. 44. Check for parasitic draws by measuring the current draw from the battery with the vehicle off. Decision: If draw exceeds 50 milliamps, identify the source of the draw and repair it. If not, further testing in wiring may be needed.
