Wheel Speed Sensor Input Circuit Range/Performance Problem (Right Front)

The right front wheel speed sensor tells the computer how fast the wheel is spinning. If there's a problem, it might be reporting incorrect or inconsistent readings.

The ABS module expects a voltage signal from the wheel speed sensor between 0 to 5 volts. When the vehicle is moving, it should fluctuate based on wheel speed. If it sees a constant voltage or a signal that doesn't match other wheel speeds, it triggers this code.

Don't just throw parts at it. Walk through these in order — each step tells you whether to keep going or stop and fix what you found.

1. 11. Inspect the wiring and connector at the right front wheel speed sensor for damage or corrosion. Check for loose connections. If damaged, repair or replace.
2. 22. Using a multimeter, check the voltage at the right front wheel speed sensor. You should see variable voltage based on wheel speed. If no voltage is present, inspect the wiring back to the ABS module.
3. 33. Test the wheel speed sensor by removing it and checking resistance; it should typically measure between 800 and 2000 ohms. If outside this range, replace the sensor.
4. 44. Clear the fault code and perform a road test. If the code returns immediately, it may point to a different issue, such as a faulty ABS module.
